Company history

A word from Rhonda McLucas, Owner & Principal of Gatton Real Estate

I began my career in the Real Estate industry in 1992 when my father, George Hallas asked me to join him in the family business. He had established Gatton Real Estate in 1982 after starting his Real Estate career in 1974 working in partnership with Warren Custance at Lockyer Valley Estates. Being a farmer and long term resident with family living in the Lockyer Valley since 1886 gave him immense local knowledge to draw on in his new profession.

In 1994 the decision was made to start a Property Management service to cater for investors in the Valley. George’s son, Syd Hallas & his wife Leanne managed this for many years until their recent retirement.

Today the Property Management is in the capable hands of  Kylie Andrews, Kylie Donohoe, Jodie Voysey & Tui Gordon who are all fully qualified Property Managers. This professional team each manage a portfolio of properties which ensures an in depth and knowledgeable working relationship with both their properties, landlords and tenants. This side of the business continues to grow from strength to strength.

Allison Graham (Rhonda’s daughter) began her career in 2006 initially working in administration. After gaining her sales certificate in 2007, she now works as Rhonda’s sales partner and manages the sales and property management departments.

Rhonda & Allison are born & bred in the Lockyer Valley and have extensive ties with the local community. As professional and committed women in the real estate industry, Rhonda & Allison understand your needs whether buying or selling, and would love the opportunity to assist you.

Derek Qualischefski started in the industry in 2013 Derek Qualischefski specialised in rural sales for 4 years with Gatton Real Estate selling many lifestyle and acreage properties throughout the district. With this wealth of experience, Derek now moves into residential sales, focusing on attention to detailing and selling your property for the best price in an ever changing market.

Marisa Stecca   comes to us with a diverse background in Property Sales and Marketing and has called the Lockyer Valley home for 8 Years.  With extensive local and community engagement, as well as a desire to achieve the best result for you, and with an honest and professional approach Marisa is a valued member of our sales team.

Brian Crichton handles all lifestyle properties, rural sales and marketing. A long time local of Gatton, Brian comes to the position after having managed his own agency for many years in nearby Withcott. Brian is an experienced agent and will be able to provide outstanding customer service to his clients and customers.

Debbie Murray is our Sales Secretary and welcoming face when you enter our office, and is assisted by Rhonda and Allison’s personal sales assistant Kerrianne Steinhardt.

Calissa Tetzlaff is our Property Management  Assistant  and her helpful and attentive service ensures that both Landlords and Tenants are well looked after.

With demand rising for property in the increasingly popular Lockyer Valley (with its easy commute to Brisbane, Ipswich and Toowoomba) the real estate market in Gatton and surrounds is experiencing a good level of growth.
